Central America: Water Deficits May Persist through March 2016

Water deficits are forecast to spread in southern Mexico, Central America, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Venezuela. This is consistent with our prior blog post. The pattern of exceptional deficit conditions is expected to persist in many of these areas through the remainder of the forecast period (March 2016), with greatest extent and severity July through September 2015.

Many analyses reported in ISciences-authored blog posts are based on data generated by the ISciences Water Security Indicator Model (WSIM).
