Global Precipitation and Temperature Outlook for August 2015

The global outlook for August indicates predominately warmer than average temperatures, particularly in the Middle East, southern India, and Southeast Asia. Exceptionally drier conditions are expected from southern Mexico through Central America and into northern South America, while much of the US west of the Rockies may be wetter.

Central America: Water Deficits May Persist through March 2016

Water deficits are forecast to spread in southern Mexico, Central America, parts of the Caribbean, Colombia, and Venezuela. The pattern of exceptional deficit conditions is expected to persist in many of these areas through March 2016 with greatest extent and severity July through September 2015
